: The water level in the Mettur dam today stood at 49 feet against its full level of 120 feet.
The inflow was 234 cusecs and outflow 500 cusces, PWD sources said.
Meanwhile PWD chief engineer Paneerselvam claimed there would not be any scarcity of drinking water in the state till June as the capacity was now 17 TMC against just seven TMC in the same period last year.
He said the 'Ellis Saddle 16 surplus bride shutters' would be repaired and all shutter sides rubber lined to prevent leaks.
