Water resources min wins gold medal for display at trade fair

The Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation today won the gold medal for its creative and informative display at the trade fair here while the power ministry and the health ministry won the silver and the bronze medals respectively.

The awards were presented by C R Chaudhary, minister of State for Commerce and Industry, at a function organised here.

Special appreciation certificates were also given to the Ministry of Earth Sciences and the Ministry of Steel.

The Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation bagged the gold medal while the Ministry of Power and the health ministry won the silver and the bronze medals respectively, a trade fair statement said.
 

The 37th India International Trade Fair 2017 is being held in Pragati Maidan from November 14 to November 27.

The health ministry pavilion highlighted programmes and initiatives of the government in the health sector such as Mission Indradhnaush for expanding full immunization coverage, introduction of new vaccines, Mother's Absolute Affection (MAA) for encouraging breastfeeding and Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) for strengthening the tertiary health sector, an official statement said.

Free health check-up was provided at the pavilion by CGHS doctors.
