The water supply in east and south Delhi will be affected for two days as the Bhairathi and Sonia Vihar water treatment plants have been closed due to high levels of amonia in raw water.
The Delhi Jal Board (DJB) has announced lifting of raw water from Yamuna intake due to closure of the Upper Ganga Canal.
"Due to closure of Upper Ganga Canal, raw water is being lifted from Yamuna intake.

Among the areas which will be affected due to shortage of water supply are Yamuna Vihar, Loni Road, Mandawali, Greater Kailash, Vasant Kunj, Sarita Vihar, Giri Nagar.
