Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav today said people had become disillusioned with both the BJP and the Congress in poll-bound Madhya Pradesh and there was a wave in favour of a third front in the state.

The masses had lost faith in both the Congress and the BJP due to their faulty policies and a wave in favour of a third front was discernible in the state, he said.

"Madhya Pradesh has been a stronghold of Samajwadis. Our party will play a crucial role in the assembly elections there," Yadav told a meeting of party workers from MP here.

Out of 230 assembly seats in MP, the SP has finalised names for 60 constituencies.

Elections to the Madhya Pradesh assembly is scheduled to be held on November 25.
