A team of Uttar Pradesh police's high profile Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) rushed to Rupaideeha near Indo-Nepal border in the Bahraich district today after reports that bombs were recovered there, but all they found was wax candles.

Panic had gripped Rupaideeha after the local police yesterday recovered six sticks on which the word 'dynamite' was written.

"A team of ATS led by Additional SP, Dinesh Yadav reached the spot. After minute examination by the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS), the sticks were found to be wax candles," IG, ATS, Asim Arun said.

It was found that such candles were available online as well, he said adding that the police is trying to find out whether it was mischief and who was behind it.
