WB cabinet okays increase in age bar for WBCS Gr-A, Gr-B exams

Age bar for appearing in the West Bengal Civil Service(WBCS) Group-A and Group-B examinations for top level bureacratic jobs have been incresed from the present age of 32 to 36 and 39 respectively.

"The decision has been taken in the state cabinet meeting today," State Higher Education and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Partha Chatterjee said here.

The decision would allow the applicants more time to appear before this top state level examinations, conducted by the West Bengal Public Service Commission, the minister said.
