West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today announced that the state government would take over the Jessop and Dunlop India Ltd which are now closed.

"We have decided to take over the Jessop and Dunlop. We will take steps in this direction and will also bring a bill," Banerjee told the house on the penultimate day of the current session before the coming Assembly election.
