On the eve of Guru Nanak Jayanti, West Bengal Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi today wished people of the state and stated that the teachings of the Sikh guru be upheld among all sections of the society.
"On the auspicious occasion of Guru Nanak's birthday I heartily wish that his teachings on fraternity and universality be upheld among all sections of our society," Tripathi said in a message.
"May the bond of amity and integrity be strengthened as a mark of respect to Guru Nanak. My best wishes for the well being of the people of the state on this occasion," Tripathi said.
