WB govt decides to change colour of policemen uniform upto

The West Bengal government has decided to change colour of the uniform from khaki to white for police personnel in the rank of constable to inspector, a senior official of the home department said Friday.

Proposal in this regard was approved Thursday by the home department, the official said.

"The proposal of changing the existing colour of uniform from khaki to white uniform for police personnel in the rank of constable to inspector in unarmed branch and traffic police in police commissionerate under West Bengal Police was under active consideration. The proposal has been approved by the state home department yesterday," he said.

 

A notification regarding the decision has been released which said that "no additional financial implication is required for implementing the proposal".
