West Bengal government today revised it's earlier circular to ensure presence of its employees tomorrow, when a nation-wide bandh has been called.

The revised circular said, "an employee who absents himself on bandh day by tagging leave on that day with other days will also be treated as absent and the entire period of absence will be treated as 'dies non' and no salary will be admissible."

Commencing from a date before September 2 and continuing thereafter except on the grounds as mentioned in an earlier circular, the circular said.

Employees said this is the first time such diktat has been issued in which the entire leave period of an employee will be treated as absent and not just one day.

The government has been making arrangements for employees willing to stay at the state headquarters 'Nabanna' to ensure their presence in office.
