WCD minister Krishna Tirath has decided that the consultations to review the functioning of the laws would involve experts from various ministries, state governments, judiciary police, state governments and others with relevant expertise, sources told PTI.

Earlier in the day, Tirath had met Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde and called for swift punishment to the accused in the gang-rape of the 23-year-old girl.

Tirath had earlier visited Safdarjung Hospital to inquire about the condition of the gang-rape victim where she had assured her family of speedy justice.
