The Wholesale Debt Market segment of the National Stock Exchange today witnessed a total turnover of Rs 1,595.34 crore in 55 trades.

The 9.23 per cent government securities maturing in CG2043 traded at Rs 150.00 crore at weighted yield of 8.74 per cent, the 8.40 per cent government securities maturing in CG2024 traded at Rs 125.00 crore at weighted yield of 8.51 per cent and the 364-days Treasury bills (issue no.090715) traded at Rs.100.00 crore at weighted yield of 8.65 per cent the NSE release said.

The highest volume amount of trade during the week was Rs 12,966.94 crore on August 20, while the lowest volume amount was Rs 1,595.34 crore on August 22.
This week, the weighted yield on government securities with a maturity period of 0-3 years, 3-7 years, 7-10 years and more than 10 years was quoted at 8.47 per cent, 8.65 per cent, 8.64 per cent and 8.69 per cent, respectively.
The weighted yields on treasury bills maturing within 90 days was 8.46 per cent, it was 8.62 per cent for bills of 91-182 days tenure, and 8.66 per cent for bills of 183-365 days' tenure.
During the week, the cumulative value of government securities, treasury bills and state government securities trading on the WDM was Rs 1,7023.86 crore, trading in Non-Government securities was at Rs 1,864.32 crore, representing 90.13 per cent and 9.87 per cent of the total traded value, respectively, the NSE release said.
