WDM witnesses trade worth Rs 1,880.25 crore on NSE

The Wholesale Debt Market segment of the National Stock Exchange today witnessed a total turnover of Rs 1,880.25 crore in 46 trades.

Top securities (non-repo) traded at the WDM were:

The 182-days Treasury bills (issue no.050516) traded at Rs 500 crore at weighted yield of 7.28 per cent, 8.40 per cent government securities maturing in CG2024 traded value at Rs 350 crore at weighted yield of 7.86 per cent and the 7.72 per cent government securities maturing in CG2025 traded value at Rs 325 crore at weighted yield of 7.75 per cent.

During the trading week ended today, the total turnover was Rs 10,730.26 crore and the total number of trades was 271.
 

The highest volume amount of trade during the week was at Rs 3,308.57 crore as on January 19 while the lowest volume amount was Rs 865.00 crore as on January 18.

This week, the weighted yield on government securities with a maturity period of 0-3 years, 3-7 years, 7-10 years and more than 10 years was quoted at 7.33 per cent, 7.66 per cent, 7.81 per cent and 8.04 per cent, respectively.

The weighted yields on treasury bills maturing within 90 days was 7.09 per cent, it was 7.24 per cent for bills of 91-182 days tenure and 7.19 per cent for bills of 183-365 days' tenure.

During the week, the cumulative value of government securities, treasury bills and state government securities trading on the WDM was Rs 8,195.76 crore.

Trading in non-government securities was at Rs 2,534.50 crore, representing 76.38 per cent and 23.62 per cent of the total traded value, respectively, the NSE release said.
