WDM witnesses trade worth Rs 5,521.28 cr on NSE

The Wholesale Debt Market segment of the National Stock Exchange today witnessed a total turnover of Rs 5,521.28 crore in 103 trades.

Top securities (non-repo) traded at the WDM were:

The 9.23 per cent government securities maturing in CG2043 traded value at Rs 725.00 crore at weighted yield of 7.96 per cent, the 182-days Treasury bills (issue no.260916), traded at Rs 473.28 crore at weighted yield of 6.81 per cent and the 9.15 per cent government securities maturing in CG2024 traded value at Rs 390.00 crore at weighted yield of 7.82 per cent.

During the trading week ended today, total turnover was Rs 21326.40 crore and the total number of trades was 383.
 

The highest volume amount of trade during the week was at Rs 9,097.80 crore as on April 05, while the lowest volume amount was Rs 2,608.85 crore as on April 4.

This week, the weighted yield on government securities with a maturity period of 0-3 years, 3-7 years, 7-10 years and more than 10 years was quoted at 7.03 per cent, 7.43 per cent, 7.63 per cent and 7.88 per cent, respectively.

The weighted yields on treasury bills maturing within 90 days was 6.75 per cent, it was 6.93 per cent for bills of 91-182 days tenure and 6.94 per cent for bills of 183-365 days' tenure.

During the week, the cumulative value of government securities, treasury bills and state government securities trading on the WDM was Rs 17,931.25 crore.

Trading in Non Government securities was at Rs 3,395.15 crore, representing 84.08 per cent and 15.92 per cent of the total traded value respectively, an NSE release said.
