Even as pre-poll surveys predicted a neck-to-neck contest between BJP and Congress in Delhi, the saffron party today exuded confidence of winning the assembly polls, saying there has been a "wave" for Narendra Modi across the country which will help it dethrone the "corrupt" Sheila Dikshit dispensation.

Delhi BJP president Vijay Goel said he was confident that BJP will get more seats than what have been projected by pre- poll surveys.

"As per the surveys, people are voting against Congress. One thing which is very clear from the survey results is that the Sheila Dikshit government is on its way out," he said.

According to the Times Now-C Voter survey, BJP is likely to get 30 seats while Congress is likely to slip to 29 seats against its current strength of 43 in the 70-member assembly. The Aam Admi Party has been projected to pocket seven seats.

A Headlines Today survey gave 28 seats each to both Congress and BJP.

According to Hindustan Times-C Fore pre-poll survey, Congress is likely to get 32-37 seats while BJP has been projected to win 22-27 seats.

"There has been a wave for Narendra Modi in the entire country including Delhi. I do not know whether the surveys were conducted before anointment of Modi as our prime ministerial candidate or after it. But I am sure we are going to win the elections. People of Delhi are going to support us," Goel told PTI.

He said the people are fed up with 15 years of "misrule" of Congress and BJP would definitely form the government after the assembly polls.

"We are confident of our victory. All the party workers and senior leaders are working hard to ensure victory," he said.

"We will reduce power tariff by 30 per cent and provide water to all. We will clean Yamuna and revive it in a time- bound manner," he added.
