Mentha oil falls by 1% amid subdued domestic demand

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Amid subdued domestic demand amid higher supplies from producing regions, mentha oil prices eased by 1.02% to Rs 935.50 per kg in futures trading today as speculators trimmed positions.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery September month fell by Rs 9.60, or 1.02% to Rs 935.50 per kg in business turnover of 471 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in October contracts traded lower by Rs 8.20, or 0.86% to Rs 949.20 per kg in 85 lots.

Analysts attributed fall in mentha oil prices to low demand from consuming industries in the physical market against adequate supplies on higher supplies from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh.
