Weather remains dry in HP due to weak monsoon

The day temperatures rose by few notches in Himachal Pradesh as weather remained dry due to weak monsoon in last 24 hours.

People in lower hills reeled under sultry weather conditions as maximum temperature rose by 2.3 degree to touch 37.8 degree Celsius at Una in Shivalik foothills.

Bhuntar and Sundernagar recorded a high of 35.5 degree Celsius and 33.8 degree Celsius, followed by Nahan 30.6, Dharamsala29.6, Solan 29, Manali 28.2, Shimla 26 and Kalpa 25.3 degree Celsius.

The mercury dropped by few notches in tribal areas and other higher hills and Keylong and Kalpa in tribal Lahaul and Spiti and Kinnaur districts recorded a low of 11.5 degree Celsius and 12.2 degree Celsius respectively.
 

Key tourist resort of Manali registered minimum temperature at 13 degree Celsius, followed by Dharamsala 16, Shimla 16.8, Palampur 19, Solan 20.2, Bhuntar 21.8, Nahan 22.2, Sundernagar 23 and Una 26.4 degree Celsius.

The Local MeT office has predicted rains or thundershowers at few places in lower, mid and higher hills during next six days from tomorrow.
