Weather remains dry in most parts of Himachal Pradesh

Weather remained dry in most parts of Himachal Pradesh as monsoon further weakened and day temperatures rose marginally.

Barring Dharamsala, Nahan and Mehre which received 38 mm, 11 mm and 8 mm rains respectively, weather remained dry in rest of the state.

Una recorded a maximum temperature of 34.7 deg C, while Bhuntar and Sundernagar recorded a high of 33.2 deg C and 32.4 deg C, followed by Solan 29.2 deg C, Nahan 28 deg C, Dharamsala 26.8 deg C, Shimla 24.3 deg C and Kalpa 22.7 deg C, all two to three degrees above normal.

Minimum temperatures also remained close to normal with Keylong and Kalpa in the tribal areas recording a low of 11.1 deg C and 12 deg C, while Shimla and Manali recorded a minimum temperature of 15.4 deg C.
 

Una recorded a low of 23 deg C while Dharamsala recorded minimum temperatures of 21.2 deg C, followed by Sundernagar 19.6 deg C and Solan 16.8 deg C.

The local MeT office has predicted rain and thundershowers at many places during next one week.
