Weather continued to remain dry in Uttar Pradesh leading to rise in day temperatures in some parts of the state.
Met office here said day temperatures rose in Meerut division and changed little over the state.
They were appreciably above normal in Faizabad division, above normal in Gorakhpur, Allahabad, Lucknow divisions and were normal in the remaining divisions of the state.
Highest maximum temperature over the state was 44.0 degrees Celsius recorded at Sultanpur.
They forecast that rain/thundershowers would occur at isolated places in the state.
