The weather was dry over Uttar Pradesh, with very dense fog occurring at isolated places over the eastern parts of the state.
According to the meteorological (MeT) department, the day temperatures rose in Bareilly, Moradabad, Meerut, Faizabad, Lucknow, and Agra yesterday.
The night temperatures were above normal in Varanasi, Allahabad, Bareilly and Jhansi, and below normal in Gorakhpur and Moradabad.
The lowest minimum temperature in the state was recorded in Bahraich at 6.4 degrees Celsius.
The MeT has forecast that cold day conditions are likely to occur at isolated places in eastern Uttar Pradesh on February 1.
The weather is likely to remain dry over the state on February 2 and 3.
