A team of technical experts from Patna, Pune and Delhi kept on updating the events unfolding at the massive rally at the Gandhi Maidan yesterday.
"Over one lakh people accessed the updates on the Adhikar Rally," senior JD (U) leader Sanjay Jha, who headed the team for this purpose, told PTI today.
He said people residing in Gulf countries, USA, UK and Australia accessed the website to know about the rally in which Kumar made a clarion call to the Centre to provide special category status to the state for ensuring its rapid economic growth.
"We received congratulatory messages from many a viewers from different parts of the world," Jha, an ex-MLC said.
The experiment, the first of its kind in Bihar, to take the message of the rally to people across the world had succeeded, Jha, a close confidante of the CM, said.
Buoyed by the success of the experiment, Jha said more such arrangements would be made in the future too.
