: A week after a 21-year-old woman pharmacy student was allegedly kidnapped from here by a man posing as a doctor, the 'victim' has returned home, police said Tuesday.
The accused drove away in a car with the woman student after asking her father to get off the vehicle for taking photo copies of her educational certificates for the job he had promised.
The incident happened on July 23 after she and her father boarded the car of the accused who posing as a doctor offered to get her a job.
"The woman student has returned," a senior police official said while refusing to share information if the alleged abductor has been caught.
A friend of the woman had told some TV channels that she saw her at the central bus stand here on Tuesday and when enquired she said she had gone to Tirupati for a job and did not divulge any more details before reaching home.
The police had on Monday announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh for information on the 'abductor.
