A week-long healthcare camp for pets and animals started here today at the Government Veterinary Hospital in old city area with modern facilities inducted in services.
Facilities like ultra sonography, x-ray, modern operation theatre have been started at the hospital, which was earlier in a bad shape before its in-charge Dr Anil Sharma took charge of the office.
"After long persuasion at various levels, I have managed to create ultra sonography, x-ray, modern operation theatre and laboratory for conducting various tests," Sharma told PTI.

Nearly 180 animals, including dogs, goats were vaccinated today with a total of 300 registrations.
"The moment you enter into the hospital, you will be surprised to find that the hospital is fitted with vitrified tiles, proper false ceiling with lights, fans and darkroom for X-ray among other things," an animal lover, Divya Shukla said on the occasion.
Animal lovers also demanded from the Joint Director, Veterinary Service, Dr O P Goud, who was also present on the occasion, to appoint more doctors in the hospital.
Treatment for animals is provided for Rs 25, while it is free of cost for animals belonging to Below Poverty Line category persons.
Shabbir Bhai, who rears and sell goats on an annual basis for festival Eid, said that his goat has gained weight after proper treatment at the hospital.
"We are able to provide printed lab reports to the animal lovers within 15 minutes after conducting tests," Lab Assistant, Brajendra Tiwari said on the occasion.
The hospital was established by the erstwhile Nawab of Bhopal for the care of his horse and camels but after the Independence it was converted into a veterinary hospital for providing medical facilities to the domestic animals in the old city area of Bhopal.
