: CPI in Kerala today said it would organise week-long protest programmes state wide to expose the 'real intention' behind the demonetisation policy of BJP-led NDA government and create awareness about this among grass root level people.
The party's state council decided to hold people's conventions under the aegis of CPI local committees across the state till January 10.
The protest programmes are part of the party's agitation at the national level against the Centre's withdrawal of high denomination currencies and to expose the real intention behind the move, party state secretary Kanam Rajendran told a press meet here.

He also alleged that even BJP leaders themselves came out in open to change black money into white.
Rajendran said even charges had cropped up against Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself, but he had not replied so far to them.
"The Prime Minister's silence on the issue amounted to accepting the charges," he said.
The Modi government was trying to bring in 'anti-labour' policies to grab employees' rights, he alleged.
