Well-known artists perform in Tihar Idols season 2

A curtain raiser of the Tihar Idols season 2 was today hosted at the head office of the prison complex and was marked by musical performances by well-known artists.

"It is an unique initiative by Delhi Prisons to show the society the reformative initiative being taken for the inmates," Director General (Prisons) Alok Kumar Verma said at the event.

The Tihar Idols season 2 aimed at hunting dance and music talent among the inmates has been launched by the prison administration in association with Music One Records, said Mukesh Prasad, Additional IG (Prison).

The inmates having interest in dancing and singing art forms will be trained by renowned singers and musicians, who have agreed to extend their support, he said.
 

The unique talent show was organised by the high-security jail authorities for the first time in 2012 on the lines of Indian Idol.
