Welspun Corp, the flagship company of the Welspun Group, today reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 7.63 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2018.
However, the pipe manufacturer had posted a net profit of Rs 68.59 crore during January-March, 2016-17, the company said in a BSE filing.
Its consolidated income declined to Rs 1,693.58 crore compared to Rs 2,172.49 crore in the year-ago period, it said.
We expect good order inflows to continue in 2018-19 on account of high energy prices, expansion of National Gas Grid in India and several water projects being planned in India and Saudi Arabia.
"We shall continue to develop our human capital and technological competencies across all geographies," Chairman of Welspun Group B K Goenka said in a statement.
Shares of the company today ended 0.42 per cent higher at Rs 142.60 apiece on BSE.
