West Bengal Advocate General Bimal Chatterjee today resigned on health grounds, becoming the second law officer to put in his papers during the current government.
"I have resigned today. I have sent my resignation letter to the Governor and sent copies of it to the Chief Minister and state Law Minister," Chatterjee told PTI.
Asked about the reason for his resignation, he said "I have not been keeping well for sometime. As such I have resigned on health grounds."

Mitra had been appointed the state's Advocate General by the Trinamool Congress government after it came to power in May 2011.
