Seats in West Bengal's Calcutta National Medical College and Medinipur Medical College have been increased after the intervention of the state government, officials said today.
The state government had sent a proposal to the Medical Council of India, which added another 100 seats, they said.
Seats in Calcutta National Medical College have been increased to 200 from 150 and in Medinipur Medical College, seats have been increased from 100 to 150, officials added.
