After an inconclusive bipartite meeting with the Hindustan Motors (HM) management today, the West Bengal government has decided to convene a tripartite at a suitable date this month.
"We have asked the HM management to pay one month's wage to workers within ten days. But they said it will not be possible given the precarious finance position. We decided to convene a tripartite soon," state Labour Minister Purnendu Basu told PTI.
Basu said the government might explore legal means which could be taken against the company management on wage-related issues.
