West Bengal resident arrested with banned drug in JK's Rajouri

A resident of West Bengal was today arrested from Rajouri in Jammu and Kashmir after banned drug was seized from his possession, a police official said.

Anek-ul-Islam, a resident of Hijantla-Rattanpur, was arrested by a police team, the official said.

He said 960 spasmo proxyvon plus capsules were recovered from his possession. The police suspect Islam to be a drug peddler.

Islam was being questioned about his contacts in the area and more arrests were likely to be made soon, the official said.

He said a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against Islam.
