Western Air Commander visits Air Force Station in Jammu

Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Western Air Command Air Marshal S S Soman today visited the Air Force Station in Jammu and forward snow-bound locations to review its functioning, and praised the unit on operations, maintenance and administrative fronts.

Accompanied by his wife Rashmi Soman, he inspected various sections and units and expressed satisfaction over the way it was being maintained on operations, maintenance and administrative fronts, a defence spokesman said.

They were received by Air Commodore Prashant Patange and Mamta Patange here.

He expressed his approval at the professionalism of the personnel of the Air Force Station and urged them to achieve even higher standards in the service of the nation.
 

The Air Marshal also visited the snow-capped forward locations of Air Force Station, the spokesman said.

Rashmi Soman visited attended various programmes being undertaken by the Air Force Wives Welfare Association, and complimented them for being adjudged the best Pro Active institution of Western Air Command for 2012-13.
