Western India tourney from Nov 21

The 72nd CCI-Western India Open Squash Tournament would be held at the Cricket Club of India here from November 21 to 26.

The tournament, organised under the aegis of the Squash Rackets Federation of India, would include competitions in men's open, women's, for professionals and in junior categories for boys and girls' under-11, u-13, u-15, u-17 and u-19.

A significant number of players from Goa, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, West Bengal and Tamil Nadu would challenge the local talent.

The list of juniors includes national champions Yuvraj Wadhwani and Neel Joshi of Maharashtra, Yash Fadte, Yash and Akanksha Salunkhe of Goa, Kanhav Nanavati and Ashita Bhengra of Tamil Nadu, girls under-13 national champion Megha Bhatia of Delhi and girls under-15 national champion Amita Gondi of Hyderabad.
 

Maharashtra's challenge would come from Urwashi Joshi, Navmi Sharma, Veer Chotrani, Jeh Pandole, Tushar Shahani and Yohan Pandole, among others.
