After the Supreme Court's sharp attack on CBI for being a "caged parrot" of its masters, the agency's Director Ranjit Sinha today said whatever the apex court stated was correct and the issue of autonomy for the organization has to be decided by the government.
Asked about the scathing criticism of the Supreme Court over sharing of its status report in coal block allocation case with Law Minister Ashwani Kumar and officials of PMO and Coal Ministry, Sinha said "we have humbly accepted remarks of the Supreme Court. What can I comment on the comments made by Supreme Court?"
On the question of the Supreme Court terming the agency a "caged parrot" that "speaks in its master's voice", Sinha told reporters here "whatever the Supreme Court said is correct."
