Wheat prices declined by Rs 5 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today due to reduced offtake by flour mills against increased supplies from producing regions.
However, rice basmati and other grains traded in a tight range in the absence of worthwhile activity and settled at last levels.
Traders said increased supplies in the face of reduced offtake by flour mills mainly kept pressure on wheat prices.
