Wheat prices firmed up by Rs 10 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today on increased offtake by flour mills and stockists.

However, other grains moved in a narrow range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.

Traders attributed the rise in wheat prices to increased offtake by flour mills and stockists to meet rising demand.

In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) rose by Rs 10 to Rs 1,670-1,675 per quintal.

Atta chakki delivery followed suit and ended higher by a similar margin to Rs 1,680-1,685 per 90 kg.
