Wheat prices drifted lower by 0.22 per cent to Rs 1,827 per quintal in futures trade today as speculators reduced holdings, triggered by adequate stocks in the spot market on increased supplies.
Wheat for delivery in July declined by Rs 4, or 0.22 per cent, to Rs 1,827 per quintal with an open interest of 8,650 lots at the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange.
Market analysts attributed fall in wheat prices at futures trade to offloading of positions by traders.
