Press Trust of India New Delhi
Wheat prices rose by 0.30 per cent or Rs 5 to Rs 1,675 per quintal in futures trading today amid uptick in demand at spot markets.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, wheat for delivery in October rose by Rs 5, or 0.30 per cent, to Rs 1,675 per quintal with an open interest of 2,210 lots.

The wheat for delivery in September held steady at Rs 1,650 per quintal in 15,280 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid pick up in demand at spot markets against restricted supply mainly influenced wheat prices at futures trade.
