Wheat prices eased further by 0.36 per cent to Rs 1,672 per quintal in futures trading today as speculators cut down exposure, triggered by sufficient higher supplies.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, wheat for delivery in January was trading lower by Rs 6, or 0.36 per cent, to Rs 1,672 per quintal with an open interest of 8,060 lots.
Ample stock position on increased arrivals from producing belts against subdued demand kept wheat prices subdued, analysts said.
