Wheat prices inched up by Rs 5 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale grains market today due to increased offtake by flour mills.
However, other grains including rice basmati continued to trade in a tight range on little doing and settled at last levels.
Traders said increased offtake by flour mills helped wheat prices to rise.
In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) rose by Rs 5 to Rs 1,640-1,645 per quintal. Atta chakki delivery followed suit and enquired higher by a similar margin to Rs 1,645-1,650 per 90 kg.
