Wheat price increases; thoor dal declines

: Price of wheat increased and that of thoor dal decreased, while all other commodities maintained the same level in the wholesale foodgrains market here today.

Wheat moved up by Rs 50 per quintal to touch Rs 2,800 from its previous rate of Rs 2,750, while thoor dal went down by Rs 600 per quintal to Rs 8,400 from its previous rate of Rs 9,000.

Urad dal, Moong dal, Gram dal, Sugar, Maida and Sooji maintained last week's rates.

Following are the wholesale rates of various agri-commodities (in Rs per quintal, except where stated otherwise): Thoor Dal Rs 8,400; Urad Dal Rs 8,200; Moong Dal Rs 10,500; Gram Dal Rs 4,400; Sugar Rs 3,000; Wheat Rs 2,800; Maida (90 kg) Rs 2,500 and Sooji (90 kg) Rs 3,000.
