Wheat prices traded marginally higher by 0.31 per cent to Rs 1,627 per quintal in futures trade today as participants widened their bets, driven by pick-up in demand in the spot market.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, wheat for delivery in May month edged higher by Rs 5, or 0.31 per cent to Rs 1,627 per quintal with an open interest of 6650 lots.
Likewise, the wheat for delivery in far-month June contracts traded higher by Rs 2, or 0.12 per cent to Rs 1,653 per quintal in 8,300 lots.
