Wheat remains weak on ample stocks

Wheat prices fell further by Rs 30 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today due to reduced offtake by flour mills against suffcient stocks position.

Bajra also eased on lack of buying support from consuming industries.

Traders said reduced offtake by flour mills against ample stocks position kept pressure on wheat prices.

In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) drifted lower by Rs 30 to Rs 2,000-2,040 per quintal. Atta chakki delivery followed suit and enquired lower by a similar margin to Rs 2,070-2,080 per 90 kg.

Atta flour mills and maida also shed Rs 5 and Rs 10 to Rs 1,120-1,125 and Rs 1,180-1,190 per 50 kg respectively in line with a wheat trend.
 

Other bold grains like bajra too finished lower by Rs 30 to Rs 1,450-1,455 per quintal.
