Prices of wheat and rice basmati rose up to Rs 200 per quintal on increased offtake against restricted supplies from producing belts.
Traders said increased buying by flour mills against restricted arrivals from producing belts mainly led to the rise in wheat prices.
In the national capital, wheat prices rallied by Rs 15 to Rs 1,550-1,555 per quintal. Atta chakki delivery followed suit and gained Rs 10 to Rs 1,560-1,565 per 90 kg.
