Press Trust of India New Delhi
Wheat prices strengthened by Rs 15 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today on increased offtake by flour mills against tight supplies following decline in arrivals from producing regions.

Barley also moved up on increased demand from consuming industries.

Traders said besides increased offtake by flour mills, restricted arrivals from producing belts mainly kept wheat prices higher.

In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) rose further by Rs 15 to Rs 1,575-1,580 per quintal. Atta chakki delivery followed suit and edged up to Rs 1580-1585 from previous level of Rs 1,570-1,575 per 90 kg.
