The district election authorities here have made special arrangements for infirm and physically challenged voters to enter the polling stations and exercise their franchise, during the by-election in Nellithope Assembly segment here, on November 19.

District Election Officer (DEO) Satyendra Singh Dursawat in a release here today said that wheelchairs would be made available for the infirm and disabled to get into the booths and cast their votes.

Student volunteers would be stationed to aid them and the aged voters to participate in the polling process without any hassle, he said.

The DEO further urged the voters to turn up at the booths without fail and ensure the constituency registered cent percent polling.

Letters have been handed at all households, in the constituency, along with booth slips by booth level officers as part of the Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP), the release said.
