The Bombay High Court today sought to know from the Maharashtra government when it will appoint authorisation committees at hospitals as well as at district level to deal with applications for organ transplant.
A bench headed by Justice Abhay Oka directed the government to inform about the same at the next hearing.
These committees are contemplated under an amendment to the rules under the Transplantation of Human Organs Act, 1994.
