Suspended IPS officer Amitabh Thakur who is at loggerhead with the Samajwadi Party government in Uttar Pradesh and is facing disproportionate assets probe, today accused the state and its probe agencies of trying to "impose" properties of certain organisations on him.
Thakur had earlier alleged that vigilance officers have "falsely framed" him in the disproportionate assets case.
The Vigilance Department had lodged an FIR against Thakur in September charging him with possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

He was suspended in July after he lodged a police complaint against SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav, alleging that he threatened him over phone. The UP government suspended Thakur in July, claiming that the officer was found prima facie guilty of "indiscipline".
In his letter to Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, Thakur said that he has informed the state government many times that he has "resigned from IRDS society on Jan 1, 2012 and his wife Nutan Thakur also resigned from it in February 2012. But even then UP government and its agencies are finding ways to falsely impose this society's properties to him."
Amitabh has requested the chief minister to save him from "nefarious efforts" to frame him for owning properties of a society of which he and his wife are not even members.

The DySP in her FIR had alleged that Anand had
sexually exploited her on the pretext of marrying her.
She alleged that two days after joining as Kaimur SP in July 2014, Anand had proposed to her on Facebook and WhatsApp.
In the following month, when their marriage looked certain, they established intimate relations and stayed at each other's place, she said, adding that when her parents requested Anand to fix the wedding date, he refused to marry her on the ground that their horoscopes did not match.
Police sources said the IPS officer did not enjoy any protection from arrest order and will be treated like any other civilian in a criminal case.
