16 Corps of Indian Army, popularly known as White Knight Corps, today celebrated its 45th Raising Day.
On the occasion, Lt General R R Nimbhorkar, General Officer Commanding, 16 Corps complimented all ranks on their contribution in combating militancy and assisting the civil administration in restoring normalcy in the region.
A solemn wreath laying ceremony was conducted with full military honours.

The army commander later on interacted with the troops of Nagrota Garrison.
A special Sainik Sammelan and Barakhana was also organised for the troops and their families of Nagrota Military Station.
A number of events were also organised on the occasion.
The 16 Corps was raised on June 1, 1972 on the banks of Tawi River at Nagrota.
