Lifetime's biopic on singer Whitney Houston, which was slammed by her family, attracted 4.5 million total viewers, becoming the network's most-watched telecast since 'Flowers in the Attic'.
Houston was found dead at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in February 2012, leading to an outpouring of grief from her fans around the globe. She was 48.
'Whitney' was directed by Angela Bassett and starred Yaya DaCosta as Houston, reported Entertainment Weekly.
The movie averaged 2.1 million viewers in the adults 18-49 demographic.
