Lashing out at Rahul Gandhi for disruption of the Parliament session, BJP national spokesperson M J Akbar today asked who paid the bills for him during his sabbatical.
"Rahul Gandhi is taking about corruption. My tally says he has been out (of country) for nearly 100 days. Who paid his bills during his sabbatical for 100 days? Was it paid from his salary as MP? Why is he not saying where he went during those days? Who paid the bills for his five-star, seven-star hotel bills? Why is he mum on this issue?" Akbar told reporters here.
"The Congress is not looking into this but making unnecessary and concocted false statements and disrupting parliament. The people are angry with them and they will be punished," Akbar said.
Akbar's comments came a day after end of the four-week monsoon session of Parliament which was a virtual washout, delaying legislations, including the crucial GST bill.
